NDF is a non political, non-discriminatory, humanitarian and nature conservation organization. It has legal status of a registered society. NDF was formerly known as Modern Cultural Club (MCC). It is a society registered under societies registration Act, vide registration No- 2210-S of 1994. It is also registered under Foreign Contribution Act vide registration no. 152740003 that entitles it to receive funds from foreign sources.
National Development foundation, NDF is an independent organization helping communities in need in Jammu & Kashmir, India. NDF works for nature conservation    and for improving the lives of children and youth through realization of their rights. It has following two Directorates which are also the key focal areas of work.

a) Children and Youth Empowerment.
( Child Protection, WASH, Education, Livelihood and Skill Development,  Health and Nutrition )
b) Nature, Wildlife and Climate Change.
( Himalayan Wildlife and Environment Protection, Water and Wetlands, Climate mitigation adaptation DDR and Emergency Response, Sustainable agriculture)

Mr. Rajiv Kumar Khajuria, renowned Social worker and Journalist of J&K has established NDF with a group of dedicated children and youth. Backed by Civil society and District administration NDF took birth in Rajouri District of J&K in the year 1992. Present executive body details are given in the website.
Since NDF is working for the last three decades and have developed good relation/reputation among the communities especially in J&K. We have dedicated Programme team/ field staff and volunteers on call on the ground, which is the main strength of NDF.
NDF is currently working on Child Rights, Child Protection, Child care , Implementation of JJ Act and other child/Youth issues in J&K and is also working on Biodiversity Assessment, documentation and Conversation plan of wild flora and fauna of Kishtwar High Altitude National Park (KHANP). Donations can be made online through our website by clinking on the link "Donate now" on our website. However, one can make donation through net banking or by a payee's account cheque in favour of "National Development Foundation"
On receiving the donation, we are sending the receipt of the amount under 80 G of the Income tax Act to donor along with proposed utilization details.
The donations received is being spent 80% on the programme and 20 % on Administrative Cost and as per the budget/programme agreed with the donor.
There is no cap for donations.

An individual donor can avail the benefit on the amount donated to NDF under section 80 G of the Income Tax rules.
