Director PR (Programme and Research)

NDF is seeking an experienced Director (Programme and Research) to lead our project supported by the EU to promote local craft with a focus on improving livelihoods and economic empowerment opportunities for women, youth, and people from vulnerable communities in J&K. The Job type will be Part-time and the successful candidate will be required to dedicate 40% of his/her time equivalent to the NDF office timing and working days to the project. Jobholders will be required to undertake periodic field visits to the Field to oversee project implementation, monitor progress, and engage with stakeholders. The frequency and duration of these visits will be based on the project requirement and will be mutually decided by the jobholder and CEO or President of NDF. In Case The selected Job holder is not from J&K and prefers to work from home, he will devote 100 percent time when in J&K and 40 per cent time when working from home. The extra time during the visit to J&K will not be deducted from the work-from-home timing of 40 per cent for the rest of the month.

Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the project team. Oversee project planning and implementation. Donor reporting. Set systems, support, monitor, and finalise the project planning, implementation, research, documentation, monitoring and evaluation, and foster partnerships with key stakeholders. The job holder’s Line Manager will be the CEO of NDF. He/She will submit a quarterly report to the NDF CEO on the project's progress in the prescribed format apart from other information/documents related to the project sought by the CEO or the President.

Requirements: Postgraduate degree. Proven experience of at least 15 years in project management in a development sector with international agencies. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
