Teachers Training on EWS held
Jammu Dec 28: A Teacher’s Training of the Teachers of the Govt. Schools of Jammu & Samba was held today at Tawi Conference Hall, Udheywala, Jammu. National Development Foundation Jammu organised the training in collaboration with the Directorate of Samagra Shiksha J&K, the Directorate of School Education Jammu, and UNICEF India. Mr. Sunny Kumar, Programme Manager NDF and Ms. Nisha Pandita, Addl. Programme Officer NDF sensitised the teachers on the Early Warning System, which is a mechanism for understanding the students who are at risk of dropping out. Around 50 participants, both teachers and NDF staff, participated.
Sh. Rajiv Kumar Khajuria, President National Development Foundation and Member Selection Committee under Juvenile Justice Rules, interacted with the teachers and called upon them to involve School Management Committees, Parents and students to ensure no student drop out. He appealed to the teachers to implement the low-cost and no-cost strategies explained to them in today’s training to understand the early signs of the students who are at risk of dropping out and strategies on how to prevent them from dropping out. He said that the New Education Policy focuses on the universalisation of education for all children by improving the quality of education and ensuring an Inclusive & Equitable Education System.
