Three days training of Master Trainers on School Safety and Security starts at Jammu & Kashmir
J&K, December 22: Three days training programme on School Safety and security concluded here today. About 40 Master Trainers from different districts of the Kashmir Division were trained in the first two days which culminated with orientation of Chief Education Officers and Principal DIET’s of the Kashmir Division.
Training were organised by Directorate of Samagra Shiksha J&K in collaboration with National Development Foundation and ELFA international in partnership with UNICEF India. Syed Fayaz Co-ordinator Samagra Shiksha conducted sessions on Out of school Children. Danish Aziz Educational Specialist UNICEF sensitized participants on comprehensive school safety manual vis-a-vis 2021 guidelines issued by the Government . Mr Mehran CEO ELFA International took sessions on DRR and WASH.
Mr. Rajiv Khajuria CEO National Development Foundation gave a detailed account of school Safety and security guidelines issued by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. He emphasised on the need of co-creating the environment for ensuring safety and security of children in schools. He sensitized the CEO’s and principal DIET’s on accountability framework, whole school safety approach and multi sectoral linkages as enshrined in the comprehensive school safety guidelines of Govt. of India.
