Fueling Passion, Building Dreams: Sarthik’s Sporting Journey
Sarthik, a Class 10th student, has always been passionate about sports, but limited resources in his community restricted his ability to fully explore his potential. Without proper equipment, he and his peers often relied on makeshift arrangements, affecting both performance and confidence.
A turning point came when the National Development Foundation (NDF) supported their Children and Adolescent Group (CAG) by providing sports equipment. With access to proper kits and a supportive environment, Sarthik became more active, practised regularly, and encouraged others to participate.
This initiative aligns with UNCRC's and JJ ACT 2015's vision of promoting holistic child development, protection, and participation. It also contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 and SDG 4.
Through sports, Sarthik developed confidence, teamwork, and discipline. Today, he inspires other children to stay active and engaged, showing how the right support can nurture talent, promote well-being, and create positive change.
