Symposium on Child Rights & Child Protection held at APS Damana
Jammu, November 20: The National Development Foundation, in collaboration with the School Education Department. Mission Vatsalya and UNICEF India, organized a Symposium on Child Rights and Child Protection at Army Public School Damana, Jammu under the mentorship of Brig Vivek Puri, SM, Chairman Army Public School Damana; it aimed at raising awareness among students and teachers about child rights and protection.
The symposium saw enthusiastic participation from students, delivering compelling speeches on child rights and protection. Neelakshi, Priya Devi & Tanish Puri stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, while the consolation prizes, were bagged by Sakshi and Khushi. All the participants were given certificates. The principal of the School, Pushpinder Kaur was the chief guest on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, she assured to undertake all the measures for child protection. Pranavi and Aditya acted as stage secretary
while Sunny Kumar Programme Manager, NDF and, Madhur Uppal — Counsellor acted as Judge.
Sunny Kumar, Programme Manager at the National Development Foundation (NDF), conducted a highly informative sensitization session aimed at both students and teachers. The session focused on the critical importance of child rights and the transformative concept of Child Rights-Focused Schools. The symposium concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Amit Kundal, Programme Officer, NDF, expressed gratitude to all Participants, judges, and the school teachers for their support in making the event a success.
